Due to the cancellation by one of our meeting presenters and the illness of another, we have made a few changes to our meeting schedule for 2020. Our January 4th meeting at the Mount Prospect Library will be presented by Jacquie Schattner.
Jacquie's program will be "European and U. S. Newspapers and Directories--Good News! Newspapers and directories may be the key to finding ancestors". Ms.Schattner will explain how to find stories, birth, marriage and death announcements including children whose births or deaths occurred between censuses. Directories provide occupations, placeof birth, deaths and family relationships. A list of 75 newspaper and directory websites from both the United States and Europe will be provided.
As an added bonus Anne Shaughnessy, Mount Prospect Reference Librarian, will also discuss some of the many newspaper resources that are available at the library. Registration is now open and is required. Make sure that you reserve your spot now:
Our presentation by Regina Yuill, Preparing to Write and Publish Your Family History: Tips and Tricks for the Writer will now be presented at our March 7 th meeting which is scheduled at the Palatine Public Library.
Additional details and registration information will be provided at a later date.
Please make note of these important changes.
