Yorkshire Pudding Nothing brings back memories of my mother cooking Sunday dinner than a beautiful Yorkshire pudding rising in the oven. Looking in the window of the HOT oven seeing if this one would rise higher than the last on. This was a Sunday tradition that you would find on the Cameron's dinner table with most Sunday dinners. A stable like some families who would always have bread or rolls with dinner. Here is how you make it like mom. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F with ¾ cup Crisco or pan drippings or a combination of both until it was “smoking” hot 1 cup all-purpose flour 1/2 Johnny’s or Lawry’s Seasoned Salt or plain salt 4 eggs (Room Temperature) 1 cup milk (Room Temperature) ¾ cup Crisco or pan drippings or a combination of both Sift together the flour and salt in a bowl. In another bowl, beat together the eggs and milk until light and foamy. Stir in the dry ingredients just until incorporated. When it oil is hot, carefully pour the batter into the pan. Slide the rack back into the oven. In 15 mins reduce the temperature of the oven to 375 and cook until puffed and dry, 15 to 20 minutes.
