How can you separate the identities of men with the same names? Learn the methodology from certified genealogist Shannon Green. Shannon will walk us walk through a case study using probate records, deeds, census records, newspapers, tax rolls, town records, newspapers, neighborhoods, and handwriting analysis to distinguish same-named men.

Shannon Green, CG, is a genealogy researcher, writer, and educator. She earned the Certified Genealogist credential in 2017. She currently instructs in the Boston University Genealogy Studies Program and mentors a ProGen Study Group. She has published in the National Genealogical Society Quarterly, the National Genealogical Society Magazine, the New York Genealogical & Biographical Society Record, and regional magazines and journals. Her present research focus is illuminating the lives of her female ancestors.
